0:00 Hello there and welcome back to another episode of Sunday Sessions with me, Nick Poninski. Today, I want to talk about something that's uncomfortable for most people, but it's absolutely essential if you are serious about building a successful HR consultancy and having a great time.
0:14 And that thing is massive action. And most people completely underestimate the amount of effort required to get the results that they say they want.
0:24 They dabble, they try a little bit of this, they try a little bit of that, but never at the level required to make anything meaningful happen.
0:31 If you want more clients, more income, more certainty, a better lifestyle, you need to take massive action. Not balanced action, not gentle action, massive action.
0:42 Now, let's be honest, there's a lot of messaging out there that tells you to slow down, find balance, stop pushing, just be in the moment.
0:50 Sounds nice, but the people giving that advice, they are rarely patient. The ones living the life that you want to live.
0:57 And the truth is simple, the more you do, the more you accomplish. The less you do, the less you accomplish.
1:02 Nothing changes without action. And the amount of success you experience is directly linked to the amount of action you take.
1:12 Now, I want to share a personal example with you. A few years ago, I set myself the goal of running a 10K in under 40 minutes.
1:22 I am not naturally athletic, I can assure you. But I wanted to see if it was possible, if I committed.
1:26 And I actually ended up running it in 44 minutes and 6 seconds. How? Well, it wasn't by magic, it wasn't by luck, and it certainly isn't.
1:34 That isn't because of perfect genetics. I just followed a simple plan. I trained three times a week. I followed a strict plan.
1:41 I adjusted my diet. I turned up even when it was raining and when it was snowing, and I dedicated myself to the goal for over six months.
1:49 It was repetition, competition. Consistency, massive action over time, and because I took it seriously, I hit my goal. I ran a 10k in under 45 minutes.
1:59 That's how life works. Every meaningful result demands a meaningful amount of action. Now, there are 40... types of action that you can take.
2:08 You can take no action, you could take the wrong action, you could take the right action, and you could take massive action.
2:15 No action? That gets you nothing. Wrong action? Well, at least it teaches you something. The right action? Well, that will teach you something.
2:23 You'll get results eventually, hopefully. But massive action? Well, that brings the results faster than you thought was possible. You can never go wrong.
2:31 You can never take too much action, but you can take too little action. And I want to bring this to life here.
2:37 Think about anyone at the top of their field. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Harry Kane, Presidents, Founders, Top Performers. None of them get there by accident.
2:47 They by doing just enough. They take massive amounts of action for years before anyone notices. And we have massive amounts But we actually sometimes forget the amount of action that creates those results.
3:02 So if you want more clients, and most HR consultants do, well, they do just enough to hope that somebody inquires.
3:11 They post here and there, they attend the odd networking event, maybe they send a couple of emails, then they wait.
3:17 Now, that small action, that keeps you informed. Massive action is different. Massive action is sending 20 messages a day, reaching out to your network, posting consistently.
3:27 Making offers, following up, improving the process, and then doing it all again. Until the problem is no longer, where are the clients, but, how do I handle all these opportunities?
3:37 And that's what massive action does, it creates new, better problems. Think of it like throwing a stone into a pond.
3:43 A small pebble? That creates a few rings. But if you throw stone, after stone, after stone, after stone, the whole surface of changes.
3:52 It becomes impossible to ignore. That's what happens when you take massive action in your business. People notice, opportunities appear. Momentum builds.
4:01 And suddenly, your life looks very different. When you take massive action, a cancelled call doesn't work. A lost deal doesn't derail you.
4:10 Because you have more coming. You're not relying on one opportunity. You've created abundance through action. But when you take small action, every loss hurts.
4:20 Because you've got nothing else in the pipeline. Whereas massive action, that creates abundance. It creates emotional stability. It makes you strong.
4:27 So if you're a self-employed H.I., your success won't come from being the smallest. Knowing the most employment law. Having the best CV.
4:34 But it will come from how many conversations you start. How many offers you make. How consistent you show up. How much action you are willing to take.
4:43 Because no one's going to pay you for what you know. They're going to pay you for what you do. A massive action is the bridge from where you are to where you want to be.
4:52 And here's the truth. You can find balance after you've built something. But right now, if you want more clients, more income, more control and a better life, this is the season for massive action.
5:03 Go for big, then go bigger. So here's your challenge this week. Ask yourself, if massive action were the only way to succeed, what would I do?
